Our animals spend majority of their lives outside where they enjoy a natural life of fresh air and sunshine while eating a natural diet from the pasture. Our children do majority of the animal care, from feeding, watering to mucking out the chicken coup.
In addition to the pasture, our animals are fed organic non-GMO soy free feed. Our pigs and cows are rotationally grazed on a fresh field all growing season. Our chickens are kept in a spacious run and allowed onto the pasture whenever possible.
The beauty of rotational grazing: Chickens provide high nitrogen manure. Pigs and cows turn grass into the gift of meat. They keep the grass cut down. As the livestock is rotated, necessary carbon is added to the pasture which builds the health of the pasture.
